Why won't my subs work?

I have two 15" Rockford Fosgate P2s and an alpine MRP-M1000. I have my subs wired to 4 ohms so I don't blow them or my amp. They were working fine the other day and then I took my blazer to Wal-mart to get my tires changed and when I got my blazer back my subs wouldn't work. I checked the wires in the box thinking it might be them but they weren't loose and my remote wire isn't loose from my amp and it can't be my power wire or ground wire because my amp turns on. Anybody have any idea why they won't work?

I only binge like that but since I'm anorexic I find it easier to just not eat anything and then exercise. You binge alot bc you don't eat healthy and don't know how to eat normally anymore, and also bc you probably feel that carbs will fill you up but it doesn't until you have consumed so many calories. You probably might be getting enough calories but not the right way. Your not addicted to food you just don't know how to control how you eat anymore. Eating intuitively wirks for most people but not always. You should eat a lot of friuts and vegetables so you get full faster. Also drink pure water. Basically every hour. If you can make it through the first and second day then you can go the whole week.

i would do the 2 alpine type R 12's because they will have the more usable power out of the amp. I also would recommend the P3's as they are 500 rms but both brands of subs can take a little more power than what they are rated. I would put them in a ported box and wire them in a 2 ohm set up and you will be heard a block or more, make sure you dynamat your trunk otherwise people will be hearing a rattling vehicle before they hear the bass lol

I'm sure the polks did blow the alpine away because there's two of them and they are 2" bigger. I would use the Kicker or the Alpine mainly because they are name brand. The bigger companies subs last a whole lot longer and sound better (my opinion). I had 2 10" Pioneers in my truck with a dual 750 Pioneer amp (1500 total). I traded up to get 12" Pioneers and the same amp. It hits great. I recommend pioneer but since you don't have that there I would say the Kicker.

Lots of good choices, but some of those brands are super-expensive. Whatever you go with my 2 cents would be to make sure the amp is AB and has a 24db crossover...to me the 24db crossover has a HUGE impact on the smoothness, musicality, depth and overall enjoyability of the bass. I have a Polk Momo amp that I love, but I believe the quality of their amps have come down quite a bit in the last couple of years.

Most people will say kicker, but kicker IS good if you want a lot of bass but kickers are NOT clear and are just loud and disorted. the cleanest clearest best one you listed is the alpine typr r. I LOVE alpine and that amp would rock your car amazingly and clearly. The MTX us a good system but its nto worth that much, the polk is good but not as good as the alpine. that one alpine with 1000watts is probaly louder deeper and clearer then both the polks together. so to sum it up the MTX isnt worth it. the polk's arent the best deal but are decent. the kickers are the loudest but are distorted and not clear. the alpine is the clearest and deepest and hits pretty hard too and youll never find a deal that good for that cheap again.

I know this isn't an answer to your question, but you have decent subs and a GARBAGE amp. Hitron is seriously the worst of the worst. When I was an installer and someone had and amp that sucked we would say "well, it's better than a hitron." From ground noise, to poor sound, to exaggerated power ratings, to freakish problems, to outright failure the Hitron's sucked in every way that an amp can suck. Do your P2's justice and get a better amp. Assuming you heed my advice, you would want an amp that is around 250x2 RMS @2ohms or 500x1 RMS at 4ohms (best bet would be a 2-channel amp that is bridgable).

Wiring Dual Subwoofers HELP!?!?

I purchased 2 p3sd210 subwoofers. Rockford fosgates, dual voice coil 2 ohm subwoofers. I bought a Q-Logic box for my Truck (08 tundra) and I'm wiring it all together. I have a kenwood amp stable @ 2 ohms 900 watts. The Q-Logic box is a sealed box, but the chambers for each sub is not sealed. The problem I'm running into is each side of the box has a terminal, with both a positive and a negative terminal.The subwoofer wiring diagram directly from Rockford Fosgate says to wire the positive to the negative separately on from one voice coil to the other on the same sub for both subs. Then to take the positive leads on one and wire directly to the amp and likewise with all the negative leads on the other end of the subs. Except this leaves me with two terminals not being used...a Positive on one side and a Negative on the other side. Sorry if thats confusing...If you don't understand ask me to clarify and I'll see what I can do. My question is how in the world am I supposed to wire these things to present a 2 ohm load to my Amp using this box? Any and all help is much appreciated.

Depends on what amp your running and the box you have more than the subwoofer. You can buy any sub, throw it in a custom box, get the right amp and it'll hit harder than any JL or mtx. My opinion is for the money kicker is the way to go.

alright i found 2 psu's layin around n they wouldnt turn on but i got em working. anyway.....1 of them is a dell and has a input of 100-120v and 200-240v and an out put of +5v+12v+5vfp max output is 230w then it says max combined power on +5v and +3.3voutput is 108w. next my other psu is from a gateway and its input is 100-120v and 200-240v the output is +5v +12v and +5vsb then it says max combined power on +5v and +3.3v output is 135v, it also say the output max is 200w. so my question is can i power my rockford fosgate t1000 with one of these? If not is there a way i can hook these up together to power my t1000? It is also a possibility that your speakers are not made to deliver a lot of bass and still play the mids and highs, try tuning your High Pass Filter (HPF) to the speakers on your head unit, this will make the speakers play the high and midfrequenciess, canceling out the lower frequencies. Thus canceling out the distortion on your speakers.

Possible to fix my rockford p2 subwoofer?

i have 2 15" p2s, just over a month old. i have a quantum audio qc3500w amp pushing them. today i noticed that it didn't sound right so i checked and the left one was sounding really bad, right one is perfect. i took it out and the cone is disconnected from the top of the voice coil. voice coil and tinsel leads are in perfect condition. i searched around and there isn't a recone kit for this sub. is there a way i can fix this? can't i just glue the bottom of the cone back onto the top of the voice coil?

Me and my fiancé have been together going on 3 years. Every other aspect of our relationship is going fine expect for in the bedroom. I have done a sleep study twice, they tell me I am sleep deprive because my fiancé snores at night and causes a lack of sleep for me. Help wiring my subs, will it work?

IN the past i wired two alpine type r's to a rockford fosgate R1000-1D down to 1 ohm and they would cut out often. Best buy said its because the load was dropping down to below 1 ohm and therefore cutting out and supposedly this amp was 1 ohm stable. So i got a Hifonics 1605D putting 1100rms at 2 ohms and they sound great. Now i am wanting to get two 10" t1 subs but wire those down to 1 ohm but am afraid i will have the same problem because this amp is saying 1 ohm stable as well. I've just finished Death Note, and it left me speechless. Why does my rockford fosgate have 2 inputs for the power and ground terminals on the amp?

I installed just a single power and ground lead, and listened to the amp. It sounded as if it was operating properly, but I wasn't getting a lot of output. I know how to install everything correctly, so my question is why did this amp not perform very well? Is it because I need the additional power and ground lead? My buddies alpine which is 300 watts less rms than this was plenty louder. BTW, this is an old school rockford 700s. 2 channel. 175rms by 2 @ 4ohm, 350 rms by 2 @ 2ohm. Thanks.

Definitely. The ebay item didn't come up but any basic switch at radio shack would work. Your best bet would be to hook up the switch in the front of the vehicle and mount it on the center console or some easily accessible spot. I want to know which option will be better for SPL. I can't imagine one 15 being much louder than two 15s at the same amount of continuous power but I don't really know much about how loud the RF's get I just know that they are good for SQ and I do know that the L7 is all SPL. A week after my son was born, he left me and my two children. Where he went I do not kno. I stayed with his mother. What amp do i need for my subs?

Pioneer A209R amp in the North America version (A-35R). It is an outstanding amp for the little money it costs. Outstanding features, nice mosfet amp section w/ a beefy power supply. The sound is warm, smooth and detailed like my other tube-based system and that is what I like about it. I hate bright and shrill amplifiers. It really benefits from good interconnects and speaker wire. When I swithced from Monster then to Linn and finally settled on Kimber Kable interconnects and speaker wire this amp began to really sing with a tight tunefull bass and clear presentation. FYI I'm using it with a Denon 1930 DVD player and JBL HLS610 monitor speakers on Target stands.

A quality sealed enclosure should have a double-baffle (what you described). A double-baffle doesn't add any airspace so you could just build the box according to rockford's specs and then simply add a second layer of MDF to the front. I imagine it would change the displacement slightly but not by a degree that would be important. It's worth noting that sealed enclosures don't need to be all that exact...in fact, most subs will provide a range of specs such as: .9-1.25 (or something along those line). For example, I have a TC sounds sub which recommends 1.25-2.0; so again, being slightly off really isn't a big deal. Good job on deciding to build your own box...the quality of prefab boxes keeps going down and down.

I have two 12 inch hifonics dvc 4 ohm subs. They can handle 300 wrms each. My amp is a Rockford fosgate r500-1 that puts out 500 wrms at 2 ohms and 320 wrms at 4 ohms. Should I wire it down two a 1 ohm load and hope the amp can take it or stick with 4 ohms and just not have it as load.
