Will the tobacco and alcohol leave my system?

hi, im 17 now, so i stared smoking when i was 14 i smoked every day like 8 - 12 cigarretes, and i drank alcohol almost every day , not alot just a shot of tequila in the morning 3 "cubas" thats soda with tequila, so now i came to the united states like 4 months ago, will my lungs and where ever alcohol goes to leave my body , like would i be clean. and you all know in mexico (some places) u can be 14 and drink a beer outside in the street next to a police and they wont say nothing, but at lease im not doing drugs lol. so yeah is couse a teacher ones told me that if u smoke, then u stop smoking like for 1 month ur body gets clean again, i haven smoked in 4 months couse of the laws here and i respect that, i have drank alittle with my family when we go to tijuana, couse i live in the border in the U.S side, i come from michoacan, mexico. thanks
