It seems like everyone who lives in Los Angeles hates it there...is it true?

All over this forum people say LA is a terrible place to raise a family, the traffic is horrendous, the smog and pollution is terrible, its overcrowded, and its a safe haven for illegal immigrants. I even saw people comparing it to living in Tijuana. Is this just people that know nothing about LAor people that just moved there and are not used to it? Is it New Yorkers just hating on LA? Tell me if its true because im thinking of living there soon. LA natives only please :)
