Help wiring my subs, will it work?

IN the past i wired two alpine type r's to a rockford fosgate R1000-1D down to 1 ohm and they would cut out often. Best buy said its because the load was dropping down to below 1 ohm and therefore cutting out and supposedly this amp was 1 ohm stable. So i got a Hifonics 1605D putting 1100rms at 2 ohms and they sound great. Now i am wanting to get two 10" t1 subs but wire those down to 1 ohm but am afraid i will have the same problem because this amp is saying 1 ohm stable as well. Any advice or help is much appreciated, Jesse.
