ROCKFORD FOSGATE P1 with 1000 watt amp?

allright i have 2 rockford fosgate p1s i think there peak is like 350-375 and i was wondering if it would be ok to hook them up to a 1000 watt amp i just dont want to blow these subs or my amp and its an sony explode amp bridgeable so if i didnt bridge it would it be 500 watts each? and would that be pk also?
